Dance Educating at
HUNTER COLLEGE
At Hunter College, I have taught prospective students coming from schools, including Benjamin N. Cardozo High School, and freshmen students in the Macauley Honors Program, Humanities classes, and the Theater Department.

Benjamin N. Cardozo High School
The class I created for Benjamin N. Cardozo was a "Self-Love & Self-Care Class". I took the students through a meditation, warm up, and two movement explorations. These activities led up to them creating their own "self-care dances". We ended the class with a "Free Dance Space," in which I gave them free choice to express themselves. It was such an inspiring and beautiful experience. watching the students freely express themselves. You can see the class in the video below.

Muse Scholars Program
I co-taught with my peer, Tabitha Stewart, for the Muse Scholars Program at Hunter College. We were instructed to create a dance experience regarding Guadalupe Maravilla's art instillations located at the MOMA. This class was a three hour immersive session where we gave students with some or no experience in dance an inside look on how dance can get them even more deeply connected to the artwork they studied and wrote about. We had two big groups of students and the class was done in two different studios. It was such a great experience being able to co-teach wit Tabitha and work with students who had some or no experience at all in a dance class. What a rewarding experience!
